Age at disappearance: 24

Emily Ballantyne, from Northlands First Nation, disappeared in April 1991. She was 24 years old.

Emily Norma Ballantyne was last seen by her family on April 25, 1991. She left her five children with her sister, saying she was going to go to bingo in Thompson, Manitoba. 

She left with two male acquaintances and arrived in Thompson on April 27. It's believed they went their separate ways. One of the male companions reported seeing Ballantyne in Thompson on either Sunday or Monday afternoon. 


Emily has not been seen since and her whereabouts remain unknown.  She may use the name Emily Norma Michelle.

Foul play is suspected in her disappearance.

PHYSICAL CHARACTERISTICS:

Emily Ballantyne is described as Indigenous, 5’5” and 128 lbs with protruding upper teeth, brown eyes and long black hair. Her NCMPUR states she was 27 years old; the CBC article with information provided by her family gives her age as 24 years old. 

CLOTHING:

She was last seen wearing denim blue jeans and a white & blue jacket with pink on the shoulder and an elasticized waist.
