Kenneth ROY (1973)
Kenneth ROY
Missing since October 26, 1973 from Nepisiguit Falls, New Brunswick
On October 29, 1973, 26-year-old Kenneth Roy was reported missing from the Nepisiguit River area of New Brunswick.
He had left to go on a hunting trip alone and was never seen again. Few details are available in Kenneth’s case, but he was known to be an experienced woodsman.
The RCMP profile for Kenneth states the area was 75 to 80 miles from from Bathurst. However, the Nepisiguit River area begins approximately 14.2 km from Bathurst, while Nepisiguit Falls is approximately 30.5 km from Bathurst. This discrepancy may be due to a typo in the RCMP profile, or it may have been known that Kenneth had been planning to travel further into the trails in that area.
He has a scar on his chin, blue eyes, brown hair, and visible decay of his teeth. He is described as 5 ft 8 in tall and 165 pounds with a medium build.
Kenneth was wearing several distinct accessories and items of clothing when he disappeared:
A blue corduroy jacket with a school crest
A red and beige cap/hat which was reversible to blue
Necklace described as a compass hanging on a shoeless
Silver aluminum Timex brand watch with an expansion bracelet
Rubber waders
Possibly chest waders
White Jockey brand shorts
“Stanfield’s” “Summer” t-shirt
Handmade wool grey socks
Green corduroy/denim pants
Brown pullover sweater
