On September 21, 1992, 37-year-old Peter Rolf Bentzen, 28-year-old Kenneth Vaughan, 58-year-old David Neufeld were seen for the last time in Toronto, Ontario. The three men had been associating with each other as “runners” to smuggle cigarettes into Canada from the United States using a boat.
Neufeld’s vehicle and boat trailer were located at Ashbridges Bay, Toronto. The “aging” boat, which had been borrowed from a friend, has never been recovered. The three men have not been seen or heard from since.
Bentzen is described as 5 ft. 11 in tall and 168 lbs. with hazel eyes, black hair and a slender/thin build.
Bentzen would be 66 years old this year.
