Marshal Iwaasa was 26 years old when he was last seen on November 17, 2019. A week later, his burned out truck was found in the backcountry of Pemberton, BC. I spoke with Marshal’s sister, Paige Fogen, to learn more about Marshal and his family’s search for answers.

In 2004, Corey Shane Braun was 24 years old. He lived and worked in Fort St. John, B.C., as an oil field operator for Penn West. In November, nearly four hours away from home, he disappeared after attending the company’s Christmas party.
MISSING: Dean Curtis Mortensen (1992) - Edmonton, AB
Dean Mortensen was a student at the University of Alberta when he vanished after a night out in January of 1992. Aside from his hat—discovered weeks later—no trace of Dean has ever been found.

In late spring of 1980, Slave Lake was burning.
In one day, the wildfires just outside the small town in Alberta would take the life of a water bomber pilot, the efforts of over 125 RCMP officers, and destroy the innocence of a boy, his family and an entire community.
UNIDENTIFIED: Carbon Jane Doe - Found in 1995 - Alberta
She was likely last seen alive between 1980 and 1985. She was between 5’0” to 5’4” tall, had multiple dental fillings, and may have had children. She would have suffered from repetitive fevers due to brucellosis, a disease not commonly found in Canada.
MISSING: Marguerite Cardwell - 09/10/73 - Calgary, AB
In early September, 1973, 31-year-old Marguerite Cardwell did two things: she purchased a .303 calibre hunting rifle, and on September 10, she told told a friend she was planning to travel to either Edmonton or Vancouver. The mother from Calgary was never seen again.
MISSING: Carol May Big Tobacco (1983) - Siksika First Nation, AB
There is only one photo of Carol Big Tobacco. There is no way of knowing what she looked like at eight years old, when she disappeared in Siksika First Nation, Alberta.
